UPDATE - over the course of a very hot and keenly-contested afternoon of tennis between 8 couples, Ros Barton and Stan Meredith emerged as the overall winners; here they are pictured receiving the Winstanley Shield - congratulations! Welcome to the Winstanley Tennis Club website!

This website provides information about the development of the Club and an insight into who we are and how we operate as a major tennis provider in the district.

In it you will find details of the current fee structure and membership options, as well as of the facilities and our playing and coaching programmes.

Winstanley Tennis Club is situated at the meeting point of 3 Local Authorities - Wigan, St Helens and West Lancashire - and is ideally placed to meet the tennis needs of residents in the Orrell, Billinge, Winstanley, Ashton-in-Makerfield, Up Holland and other neighbouring communities.

The Club has been in existence for over 90 years and has taken a progressive approach over time through plans not simply to sustain its own growth and future, but also to promote the appreciation and enjoyment of the sport of tennis in a friendly and sociable atmosphere.

We hope the following pages indicate enough about the Club that those who don't know us will be tempted to try us out, while also updating existing Members on current news and forthcoming events...
